STREET PORTRAIT OF A MAN

In January I decided to make shooting film a priority to try to stretch myself creatively. I spent most of high school and a bit of college shooting black and white film photography, but I got caught up in the whirlwind of digital so I hadn't shot film of any kind for a few years. Now was just as good of a time as any to start back up again!

I bought some color film and dove right in by setting up a shoot downtown. I tried to ignore the stares that I thought were because I was shooting with a Canon AE-1, but I now realize that it was probably more because I was waddling around and directing shots in my eight-months-pregnant glory.

This man stopped and chatted with me for a few minutes during the shoot. He was the perfect temporary assistant getting some genuine laughs from my subjects. As he left he asked me to snap a photo to which I happily obliged.
