Life is all about the details--at least the meaningful ones. It's far too easy to get bombarded with little things that don't actually matter. This family makes details special. For instance, my niece has a frame with four baby photos: one of herself, one of her mother, and one of each grandmother. The same goes for my nephew but it showcases his male predecessors. To see which side of the family each physical feature and similarities come from is so fun! It means something; it's a bridge connecting the past to the present. It's a constant reminder of where you come from, who you come from.
Those are the kinds of details I want to surround myself with more often.
